Costa cruises is the English name of the Costa Crociere S.p.A. It is an Italian Cruise line with the 14 ships. Cruise line is a company that operates cruise ships. These cruise companies are dual in character i.e. they are partly in a transport business and partly in leisure entertainment business. It also includes Pacifica and the Costa Luminosa. It is also the part of the Carnival Corporation. Carnival Corporation is the British-American-Panamanian Corporation and the world largest cruise operator. This comprises of 11 top cruise brands apart from this Italian brand i.e. German AIDA Cruises, Australian P&O Cruises Australia, UKs Ocean Village, Cunard Line, Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruise Line in North America.
This cruise liner company, Costa Crociere has more than the fifty year of tradition in the Italian Passenger Navigation. Costa Crociere S.p.A serves as the parent brand for the AIDA Cruises and Costa Crociere premium brands. All the ships proudly wave the Italian Flag and operate in the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, South America, South East Asia, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. In the year 1924, the company started as the Costa Line but operated only as the freighters until 1947. During the period of the 1950s to 1960s this company was also known as the Linea C. In the starting or originally this company primarily provides passenger service between the Italy and the South America. After that the company was converted its fleet to the full time cruising. Presently it have 14 ships.
