Ocean Village

Ocean Village is a United Kingdom based cruise line company, this company is running as the susbsidiary company of the Carnival Corporation & PLC. It is one of the eleven cruise companies of the parent company Carnival Corporation & PLC with its head office in Southampton, England. This company began its operations in 2003 when Ocean Village entered in the business. Its main target is the families and individuals looking for the casual dress codes and fun filled events rather than to formal dinning. The target audience is mainly 30 to 50 years old and with the mindset of the cruise concept of freedom and flexibility on the ship regard to dressing, dinning and entertainment.

Ocean Village promotional slogan is "the Cruise for people who don't do cruises" and the company extends its unique policy over both of its ships. It has a fleet of two ships that sail in the Eastern and Western Mediterranean during the summer and the Mexico and Caribbean in the winter. In 2003 company first ship, Ocean Village was transferred from P&O Cruises and from AIDA Cruises Ocean Village Two was transferred, Carnival PLC's Germany based brand with a similar ideology as Ocean Village, in 2007. On 30 October 2008, it was announced that Ocean Village Brand would cease its operations till late 2010 and both the ships were transferred to the fleet of P&O Cruises Australia, as the parent company Carnival Corporation & PLC predicts better business graphs in Austrailia. Ocean Village Two leave the parent fleet in December 2009 and Ocean Village in late 2010.
