Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises is an American premium cruise line. Its office is located in the Valencia section in the city of Santa Clara at California. This brand is operating on cruise ships. In fact this company is also listed as a constituent of the FTSE 100 index. Princess Cruises shared its office with Cunard line both are owned by the Carnival Corporation. Carnival is a biggest shipping corporation in the world with 14 operating ships across the world. This company is famous by The Love Boat TV series that incorporates two fabulous ships one is the Island Princess and other is Pacific Princess. This brand was begun in 1966. It was founded by the Stanley McDonald. It supposed to be starting its journey with ship Italia.
This ship was originally ordered in the year 1963. And it was the only ship that was fitted with modern techniques in the ship that was never used before. Like the lifeboats was mounted lower on the ship that offers uncluttered upper decks, engines was placed in the far rear that allows spacious public rooms. Its construction was proceeded but it was failed to launch till 1965 and both the owner and builder were declared as bankrupt. At last the ship moved to bank and it sold it out than its name was changed to Princess but it was never known by its newer name and its older name retain its identity. In 1969 the Italia was used by the Alaskan cruises from San Francisco but later on that charter was also cancelled.
